As a Virgin Trains brand designer I was responsible for ensuring that all my creative adhered to the brand guidelines and lived up to the Virgin reputation.
Starting out as the only in-house digital creative, I took the lead on many in-house digital design projects. The scope of work included designing and building html emails and microsites, branding apps, creating online banners and new pages on virgintrains.com, as well as working with agencies creating digital assets.
As the design team and business grew I was responsible for championing digital design and assisting colleagues wishing to expand their digital design skills.
I was often responsible for writing copy for projects, however a freelance copy writer recently joined the team which opened up a new and more efficient way of working.
